Collection of seven full size hand-carved, feathered and painted standing Kachinas by the carver, Mary Calvin.
Circa 1950s early 1960s.
CLOWN KACHINA, BUFFALO KACHINA, EARLY MORNING, HEMIS KACHINA, GREAT HORNED OWL KACHINA, SUN KACHINA, BLACK OGRE KACHINA (view verso).
Each Kachina is carved from a single piece of wood.
The mounted full figure kachina carved dolls are displayed on a wood backed frame, signed and identified by Mary Calvin.
Dimensions of carved kachinas: approximate range: 11 in.- 14 1/2 in.
Dimensions within recessed wood frame: W: 3 ft. 9 in., H: 21 in.
*Each Kachina doll can be removed and displayed separately.
Condition: good original estate condition, no repairs noted.
Provenance: private estate.
