14 octagonal, unstitched paper leaves, printed diamond-shaped text label affixed to recto of first leaf, irregularly interleaved with 11 (of 12) unmounted, hand-crafted doilies.

Scarce surviving Victorian album made by young girls or women with botanical samples mounted inside. Similar examples featured at the 1878 Paris Universal Exhibition.

Condition

Original hinge reinforced, some staining and one closed tear to wraps, occasional foxing to leaves, minimal losses to doilies; overall very good.
