Description
This eighteenth century map shows the Duchy of Parma and Piacenza, together with the domains of Busseto and the Taro valleys. The Po valley runs across the top of the map. Plans of the towns of Parma and Piacenza with their fortifications are shown in the bottom corners of the sheet. Other important towns marked on the map include Reggio Emilia, Cremona, Pavia, Bobbio, Busseto, San Secundo Parmense.

DATE PRINTED: MDCCXXXI (1731). This date is printed on the map

TYPE: Large antique 18th century atlas map, printed on thick, good quality paper with original outline hand colour/color, decorative title cartouche of shepherds and gentlemen hunting with dogs. Two inset city plans of Parma and Piacenza
CONDITION: Very Good; suitable for framing. Please check the scan for any blemishes prior to making your purchase. Virtually all antiquarian maps and prints are subject to some normal aging due to use and time which is not obtrusive unless otherwise stated.
