Janis Joplin Signature Cut & 8"x10" Color Photo - This lot includes a signature cut on paper signed by Janis Joplin along with an 8" x 10" color photograph of the iconic singer. Joplin was one of the most successful and widely known female rock stars of her era, and still remains one of the top-selling musicians in the United States with RIAA certifications of 15.5 million albums sold. She was ranked number 46 on the 2004 list of the 100 Greatest Artists of All Time and number 28 on its 2008 list of 100 Greatest Singers of All Time by Rolling Stone, and was posthumously inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1995. The signature is signed on lined notebook paper in silver ink, and will be accompanied by a copy of a previous auction invoice.
