Description

This cotton 1880's/1890's double pink/cinnamon pink ocean waves/"double X" variation quilt is hand pieced and hand quilted, with eight borders, including four 1/2" skinny pink strip borders. It measures 72" X 78" and is in excellent condition, with a couple of small spots (see photo #6) and no wear. The quilt feels strong and sturdy overall.The quilting is superb, with quilting around the piecework and in close diamond and 1/2" grid designs in the background at an even 8-9 stitches to the inch.The back and hand stitched binding are white, and the batting is thin. You can see cotton seed residue inside when you hold the quilt up to the light.
