Description
Circa 3rd century BC. A funerary diadem formed as a fine (0.1 mm thickness) gold sheet, expanding slightly towards the central ellipse, with repoussé palmettes and scrolls; the ends provided with loops to facilitate tying around the forehead. Gold, 7.36 grams, 370mm. Ex Gorny & Mosch, Munich, October 2006.
