Vajrabhairava with Consort, Protectors and Deities Thangka, Tibet, 17th or 18th century, gouache on cotton, 28.5 x 18 inches, in a cherry wood frame 31.5 x 27 inches, central figure of Vajrabhairava (Yamantaka), a wrathful manifestation of Manjushri, dark blue, nine faces and buffalo head, with consort Vajravetali, top center is Gelukpa luminary Lord Tsongkapa, surrounded by many dharmapalas including four-armed Mahakala, six-armed Mahakala, Vajrapani, Yama and Palden Lhamo. Himalayan Art Resources number 90532.
Condition
Good, with age appropriate creasing and wear, but overall better than average condition, unexamined outside of frame.
