Harlem is an original black crayon drawing by Oscar Florianus Bluemner (1867 - 1938) from July 23, 1914. Taken out of frame, the verso has notes from Bluemner as well as notes, signature, date, and title written by Bluemner on the front. This piece has been kept out of frame so that the buyer can determine how to showcase the verso that is inscribed. Piece also comes with the two tags that were on the piece when framed that show descriptions. See images. This is a great example of Oscar's work and very unique with all of the writing. Oscar Bluemner was active in the United States as well as Germany. This piece depicts Harlem in Oscar's eyes in 1914.
