Description
The Rosenfield Illustrated Song Machine was produced in 1905 at 369 Hudson St. in New York City. Adding a musical component to the very popular drop card viewers of the penny arcade era, Rosenfield coordinated a phonograph to play simultaneously with the drop card viewer, and all operated with the drop of a coin. Original literature advertising the Illustrate Song machine states that they could be delivered operating on any coin of the operators choice, this machine operates with a nickel. The machine has a replaced marquee advertising "The Trail of the Lonesome Pine", has an all original coin activated gramophone, and plays well. A rich quartered oak cabinet and original castings round out this rare illustrated song arcade machine. Comes equipped with a set of replaced earphones of the period, and with keys. This is not a standard shippable item and will require 3rd party shipping or pickup arrangements to be made. Condition: (Very Good). Dimensions: 23" x 51 - 1/2" x 17 - 1/2".
