Circle of Corrado Giaquinto (Italy/Spain: 1690 - 1765) antique oil painting study of the "Apotheosis of the Spanish Monarchy" on canvas depicting all of the Greek Gods gathered together, in hierarchy, on Mount Olympus to Greek Mythological tradition. The original composition was painted for the ceiling in the Palazzo Santa Croce, Palermo in 1750-1751 by Giovanni Battista Tiepolo and which was subsequently moved to the Palazzo Rondinini-Sanseverino in Rome. Morgan by 1906 in which he donated this painting to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York.
