Jack Kerouac's Personal Machete, Impeccable Provenance
Swash buckling "beat" author Kerouac's personal machete with the original leather protective cover. Wood handle wrapped with cord. Worn marker stamp, but still legible of: Fernando Esser, Soligen Aclro Fundid, No 222. This company is believed to gone out of business in 1966. 19.5" long showing excellent use. Perhaps Kerouac brought this "On The Road". The leather protective sleeve thick and heavy with a decorative braided and stitched seam. Provenance: The machete will be accompanied by an estate certification signed by John Shen-Sampas, executer of the Kerouac Estate by descent. John Shen-Sampas is the son of John Sampas, who was the brother-in-law of Jack Kerouac, and the brother of Stella Kerouac, Jack's wife.
