Mosquito The Wooden Wonder of Salisbury Hall by Robert Tomlin 24 x 18 inch print numbered 450/500. Rare print not often available on secondary market. Signed by the artist and WW2 aces wonderful ltd ed print depicting the maiden flight of the nightfighter Mosquito from De Havilland's Salisbury Hall HQ, on its way to the aerodrome at Hatfield. The print is signed by the artist and three personalities closely involved with the project. Most notable is Gp Capt John Cunningham, legendary night fighter ace, and test pilot, who was at the controls of the De Havilland Comet on its maiden flight in 1949. Ralph Hare: a stress engineer who worked on the Mosquito project. Alan Copas: one of the maintenance team who prepared this aircraft for its maiden flight. Condition report rolled so colours excellent, Couple of tears and creases to white border and LH side. Good Condition.
