Provenance: First Edition by Dickens, Charles. About this Item: Bradbury & Evans, London, 1848. First Edition with 7 first issue points. Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Illustrated by Browne, H. K., 3/4 Brown leather, marbled boards. Embossed leather spine, gilt decorated raised bands/lettering. Very handsomely illustrated. All plates and errata page present. Prev owner's contemporary engraved bookplate on pep, name on fep. Very light extremity rubbing, wear, and occasional light foxing through-out, mainly to plates. A few prelim page edges carelessly opened with minor archival repair. Inner front hinge crack and front outer joint archival repairs, not too noticeable. ; B&W Illustrations; 624 pages.
