Description

**First Time At Auction**

North America, Mexico, ca. mid-20th century CE, made by William Spratling. A charming, hand-crafted pendant made from high-grade (97%) sterling silver in the shape of a wide-eyed owl. The feathery bird has a plump body, a petite wing, and a drooping tail, and the enormous eyes are set with a pair of hemispherical amethysts. Two hallmarks between the suspension pin on the verso read "Spratling Made in Mexico" and "Spratling Silver." Size: 1.9" W x 2.4" H (4.8 cm x 6.1 cm).
