Weimar Republic era minted coin/medallion with an anti-Semitic message about usury - 1923. Circle piece with an obverse design with a figure of a naked, overweight man sitting astride a sheaf of corn, his arms raised - text: OB JUD OB CHRIST EIN SCHUFT DER WUCHERER IST, which could be translated as "WHETHER JEW OR CHRISTIAN, THE USURER IS A BANDIT".Reverse text: "IN BÖSEN ZEITEN IST OHN ZWEIFEL EIN MENSCH OFT DES ANDERN TEUFEL 1923", that could be translated as "IN THE TIME OF EVIL, WITHOUT A DOUBT, A HUMAN IS OFTEN THE OTHER DEVIL". Medal from the hyper inflationary period in 1923 when commodities like corn and wheat were scarce.
