Carol Pinsky - Mid Century Abstract Oil on Canvas. Frame: 21 x 25" Canvas 20 x 24" . Signed top left. Provenance : acquired from family. Pinsky received her training at the Arts Students League in NYC in 1941 under the well known artist, Bridgeman. She was in the same class as Leroy Neiman. In fact one of Neiman's earliest works was a painting of Carol and her husband. She also studied painting under Walter Quirt and received her BFA in Fine Arts in 1969. She studied photography under Berenice Abbott. Many of her paintings are in collections. She was a bit of an eccentric and tried to buy her works back from various clients over the years.
