Roby (French, active early 20th century)An Art Deco Orientalist Tête-à-Tête, France circa 1920s Comprising two cups and saucers, a teapot, a creamer, and a sugar dish with an unassociated tray.

Condition
teapot with spidering hairline to rim, approx 1 in to 1/2 in; some very light scuffs and trace surface losses to glaze; some adhesive and tape residue to body and lid; creamer- a few small and faint scratches to body, professionally restored with evidence of restoration to rim, hands, and base, with restored maker's mark, overall presenting well; one cup with scalloped shaped rim chip to exterior, inpainted, 1 inch hairline to interior of teacup bowl, and 1 inch diameter spidering hairline, visible at base; other teacup with no apparent chips or restoration, however brim at figure's hat with gilt rubbing and some inpainting, small polished factory flaw to interior of bowl (in the making); one saucer in generally good condition, with some areas of rim with gilt enhanced and some scratches; other saucer with some enhancement to gilt on rim, professionally restored; tray apparently associated with some buckling to surface, generally intact
