Lacloche Freres platinum,Art Deco jade and diamond magnifying glass,circa 1925.Original box.This is a fitted box and the magnifier fits.------------------The condition on this item is exceptional,considering it's age.The inside connecting 18k rim of the magnifier is engraved: Lacloche Freres and 70841.There are numerous French marks at different places on the piece, and at the end on the ring.The handle is made of old French single cut diamonds along with jade, black onyx and a red triangular cut stone, possibly carnelian.The magnifying glass is 3 inches long, the original box is 4 inches long.The white metal tests 18k white gold and has French gold stamps on it, of an eagle head or birds head.The spring works fine, and is sharp and taut.The white metal passes a platinum test.
