Description
Rare and interesting early ink sander, made of the finest white porcelain, all hand painted with floral blooms on each side. Top finial in the shape of a flower bloom. Well marked on the underside with the underglaze blue Crossed Swords and Star mark from the Marcolini period of Meissen. Incised number marks - a "3" next to the Swords mark and a "40" at the lower corner.
Antique fine porcelain from the period of Count Camillo Marcolini, Prime Minister of Saxony and director of the Meissen factory during the years 1774 to 1814.
Measurements: Approx. 2.75" x 2.75" x 2.3" overall
