Description
Antique hot water coal heater, also known as a samovar. It was used for preparing grog, a hot alcohol beverage very popular in Victorian Britain. Made of heavy thick copper with brass elements. Very elaborated, scrolled handle and brass finial on lid. Fine open work band on the base. Lidded spout, three feet. In functional order. Would look gorgeous polished. Circa mid/late 1800's, Indo-British. Measurements: Approx. 11.5" tall with lid, 11.5" spout to handle, 6.5" diameter (across). Weigh 4 lbs. 4 oz.
