Description
Antique Fire Bucket, used by firefighters in rescue. Water or sand would be dumped on a fire with this bucket in order to put it out. Characteristic tapered form with a domed underside and handle at the bottom side for easier use. Swiveling top handle. Riveted construction, thick sheet metal tin body and wrought iron handle. All original, including the characteristic Red, White and Black paint used on the body.Circa, 19th century Firefighting equipment.
Measurements: Approx. 20.5" high with handle, 14" tall without it, 12.5" diameter. Weighs about 5 lbs.
