The collection of Charles "Bud" Barber of Naples Florida. Collected in the wild over the course of 30-40 years with the primary focus the west coast of Florida, with a few exceptions. Award Ribbon for Second Place exhibition in 1968. Collection consists of thousands of individual sea shells with a wide variety of sizes, species and specimens, many with the operculum. Housed in a custom made cabinet with over 20 shadow box drawers, over a dozen plastic cases, a group of reference books (many signed by author R. Tucker Abbott), plus field guides. Most of the shells in shadow boxes are identified by notes. The shells are mounted with a removable type of clay or paste.
