Description
A 20th century Satsuma bowl with a lobed rim, depicting a lakeside scene with wisteria, buildings, boats, and mountains, with gilt accents, marked for Koshida; a late 19th century butterfly form lacquered box with two lifting doors, bird, butterfly, and flower decoration, and silver plate hardware.
Dimensions: The bowl is 8 5/8" in diameter, 3 1/2" in height. The box is 7 1/2" x 5 1/2", 2" in height.

Condition
The bowl has crazing, but is otherwise in excellent condition. The box has surface wear such as minor lacquer loss, scratches, some separation at the foot on one side, and the hinges are loose, but is in overall good condition.
