Description
Made for the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago. A white metal medal with relief decoration, the obverse depicting Columbus and Columbia in Guanahani, the reverse depicting the Administration Building, and a bald eagle, with text commemoration Columbus in Italian. A bronze example with relief decoration, the obverse depicting a bust of Columbus, the reverse depicting the Administration Building. A wooden medal with relief decoration, the obverse depicting the Administration Building, the reverse with text about the Exposition.
Dimensions: From 2 1/2" to 3 3/8" in diameter.
