Combined mahogany bureau/dressing table commissioned for Field Marshall Horatio Kitchener, circa 1910. A military desk with a secret compartment, various leather partitions as well as two photograph frames, a pair of candlestick holders, a clock and a letter scale with weights. Estate fresh to market. Good to fair condition, with age wear to the leather. Top of desk is warped, preventing desk to close properly. No skeleton key. All hardware is all original including a Braham lock.
