Item Details

Description

Made by Julius Steiff. German. Wood and lithographed paper. Many pieces. Building measures 18 1/2 inches wide by 2 feet tall to the flag top. Includes paper label sliding cover titled "Die Kaserne", "The Barracks", and "La Casarne". Very nice detail including clock tower, cloth banner, chain fencing and windows glazed with cellophane to simulate leaded glass. Marked JS. Condition Excellent, a couple pieces are slightly warped, cover repaired and missing a corner post on the top level.
