American Rococo Revival Laminated Rosewood Sofa, Attributed to J. H. Belter, New York
third quarter 19th century, in the "Henry Clay" pattern, the shaped back with three rose-, fruit- and leaf-carved crests extending to molded closed arms, the serpentine front seat rail with like carving, raised on cabriole legs, now upholstered in tufted brocade.

Condition
In very good restored and re-upholstered condition.
The piece is sturdy and solid. Casters are missing.
Normal minor chips and flakes to the edges of carved surfaces, but no notable losses observed.
There are three veneer imperfections on the verso of the back, of the sort caused by upholstery tacks.
Upholstery is in very good, approaching excellent, condition.
