Theo Faberge Crystal and Sterling Silver St. Vladimir Egg
1992, from the St. Petersburg Collection, limited edition of 500, created to celebrate the millennium anniversary of Russian Orthodox Christianity, the exterior burgundy-enameled hand-cut crystal accented with silver scrolls, topped with a vermeil dome and silver Russian Orthodox cross, the base engraved in script "No 318/T. Faberge", the egg opening to reveal a sterling silver hallmarked disc topped with a silver scaled replica of St. Vladimir's Cathedral, the disc inscribed in Church Slavonic "988 One Thousand Years of Rus' 1988", presented in the original signed gold and velvet carrying case with hinged doors and brass bale handle, accompanied by the authenticity card hand-signed in ink "Theo Faberge/21st March/1992", also includes the Andrew Moore book featuring this egg on the dust jacket, front and back.
