Description
A Chinese porcelain bottle formed vase, late Qing / early Republic era. The vase decorated in colorful famille rose and verte enamels depicting nine boys (based on the Hundred Boys motif) in various activities within a landscape setting beneath pine trees and bamboo. The opposing side with Chinese calligraphy script and red seal chops. Signed underfoot in overglaze iron-red enamels with an apocryphal Qing Dynasty, Qianlong reign mark. Measures 12-1/8" high, 9" diameter at the widest point on the body.
