Dorothy Shelton (Shackleford) is the mother of country music superstar Blake Shelton, and is a creative in her own right who has written dozens of songs over the past 20 years and is also an artist and published author. This decoration was likely an art piece made by Shakleford as she is known to make unique art pieces and Blake-inspired mementos which she sells in her Tishomingo, Oklahoma store Junk Stars. The piece was acquired from Jeff Burns, who owns The Red Rifle gift store next door to Blake Shelton's Ole Red Restaurant & Bar in Tishomingo, Oklahoma. Burns' mother was very good friends with Blake Shelton's mother, and he has been a Shelton family friend since before Blake was born. Burns also formerly worked for Miranda Lambert as her farm manager and personal assistant.
