AN ITALIAN POST MODERN FLOOR LAMP, TOMO MODEL, DESIGNED BY TASHYUKI KITA, FOR LUCI ITALIA, CIRCA 1985, with a black enameled metal "T" form stem and arm ending in a three quarter semi-circular white enameled metal shade enclosing a halogen bulb, opposite a red plastic sphere form on/off and dimmer switch, supported by a long white enameled cylindrical pole with domed ends and curves towards the side of the black anodized metal base, underside impressed "LUCI / TOMO / Design Tashyuki Kita / MADE IN ITALY," fitted with European wiring and floor dimmer switch. Height: 54" Width: 25" Depth: 14" Note: Toshiyuki Kita (Japanese b. 1942), a world renown innovative furniture and decorative arts designer whose successful works have been retailed by Luci Italia and Cassina as well as being found in permanent museum collections across the globe. He has served as an advisor to various governments in revitalization projects of design resources and recognized with numerous international awards. Provenance: Property from a 20th Century Design Collector, Houston, Texas.
Condition
