AN ITALIAN NEOCLASSICAL STYLE PARQUETRY INLAID BANDED MAHOGANY, TULIPWOOD, EBONY AND BIRD'S EYE MAPLE GILT BRASS MOUNTED FULL BED, CIRCA 1900, the headboard centering a burl "D" shape issuing rays of banded mahogany, centering a Nèo Grec stylized Greek key and arched pattern, hung with laurel garlands, centering scrolling acanthus leaves issuing an oval medallion within leaf and berry sprigs, within brass posts mounted with repeating leaf motifs, ending in pomegranate fruit finials, the footboard of like inlaid sunburst construction with pyramidal foliate finials; the gilt iron foot rails marked "LP."
