Description
Pencil Drawing on paper "Queue de Cochon"; Signed in pencil Picasso and stamped with faded purple ink Estate stamp, "Atelier M. Larionov /." (Mikhail Larionov, 1881-1964) In hand carved Spanish Frame with silk mat and gold-leaf liner. Appears in good condition. Height of art 10 1/4 inches (26 cm.) X width of art 8 inches (20.3 cm.). NOTE: Attached to the back is a photostat of a letter from Maya Picasso denying the drawing. Maya Picasso is no longer allowed to authenticate Pablo Picasso's works. PROVENANCE: Thought to be a gift found in the estate of Larionov and stamped by his Estate; purchased from Plaza Art Galleries, New York (O'Reilly's Plaza Art Galleries) circa 1977, re-framed at that time by APF, Carlyle Hotel by the purchaser, and in the same collection since.
