McCOMBER Vintage Sheared Beaver and Persian Lamb Fur

Item Details

Description

This exciting vintage coat from Canadian furrier, McComber, is a gorgeous combination of sheared beaver and Persian lamb in very unusual shades of taupe, and it still bears the original tags! It appears that the original retail price for the coat was $9750, which of course would be much higher in today's dollars. The bodice of the coat is ultra-soft, sheared beaver from Canada accented with two over-sized buttons covered in Persian lamb. The bottom is Persian lamb sourced from Africa. The coat has a notched collar, oversized, raglan sleeves and shoulder pads. It also has flexible stays inside the collar, so you can shape the collar to suit your preference. Closure is via three hidden, spring hooks. Absolutely perfect condition - and no previous owner's name embroidered on the lining! We believe this is a US/Canadian size 10 or French size 38.

MEASUREMENTS

- Raglan sleeves allow variable shoulder width.
- Chest is 42" after doubling underarm width.
- Waist is free
- Length is 40" down center back excluding collar.
