A pair of 19th century sketch-books containing watercolor paintings and pen/pencil sketches. Two uniform albums, with leaves measuring 9.25" x 4.5". One album of 14 leaves, sketches in pencil and one watercolor painting, most sketches dated 1861. MS note at rear mentions Carl Haag (refer to photos.) 5 leaves stained. Second album of 23 leaves, primarily on blue wove, mostly containing pen/ink/watercolor sketches, two in pencil, most dated 1862. Many leaves detached, one with repair to verso. Sold as-is.
