Wartime WWII/Holocaust-era 2-way Red Cross mail correspondence: stampless British Red Cross/Order St. John "postal message scheme" contact form with 25 word message dated 11 MAR 1942, from children in NAHARIYA to father in FRANKFURT; passed HAIFA censor H16 on way to overseas dispatch through Red Cross office JERUSALEM; as front-stamped by octagonal Crown censor "PASSED / P.204", letter transmitted via UK - unusual routing; front-stamped by IRC GENEVA + 8 JUIL 1942 transit (dater at bottom); arrived in Germany (c. 5-month transit) & replied(!) 11 AUG 1942, mentioning "Cuba eingestellt" (Cuba set) - perhaps he received a visa to emigrate; front-stamped next day dispatch via German Red Cross; backstamped IRC GENEVA + 12(?) SEPT 1942 transit (at bottom); passed JERUSALEM censor J18 & front-stamped 10 DE 1942 JERUSALEM arrival with 3m Postage Paid date-cancel - unusual usage but observed on reply-returned Red Cross correspondence originating from Palestine; received next day per manuscript on back. Rare wartime correspondence between Jews in Nazi Germany & Palestine, well postally documented.
