2 Continental Bibles, 16" x 12"; (a) Banca Popolare and Poligrafiche Bolis, Bergamo, 1961. Two volumes in folio, of ca. pp. (700) each with the reproduction of the pages of the Bible in black and white except for 49 full-page plates, and a double-page one, reproduced in color and protected by vellum, which repeat the page already present in black and white; there are also pp. 70 (4) with the preliminaries and the study of Adolfo Venturi and the act of donation of the Bible. The first volume contains the portrait of Pope John XXIII to whom the work is dedicated in his eightieth year of birth, and the portrait of Borso d'Este. Beautiful editorial binding (Torriani di Milano) in full Moroccan bordeaux, gold-framed plates in the center of the front metallic embossment with the noble weapons of the Este, back with six nerves with titles, friezes and weapon in gold, golden upper cut and silk looks with coat of arms. Caskets in full Moroccan like that of ligatures and covered in velvet.
