First half of the 20th century, Piedmont, South Carolina. The piece having entirely hand hewn frame in what looks to be red oak. Early black surface with signs of a green underpaint. The seat is rush and likely a replacement of the original corn shuck seat. W83" D27 Sold from the collection of a Camden, South Carolina family who used this piece on the front porch of Historic Home on Lyttleton St.
