Two dolls in Romanian folk costumes. The man is 10” tall (25.4 cm) including his wooden base, the woman is 8.5” tall (21.6 cm). The dolls have vinyl heads and hands with painted features, and brown synthetic hair. He represents Banat and carrys a jug. His pants and vest have colorful decorative stitching and he wears a furry hat. The lady represents Zona Bran and carries a spindle, with balls of yarn at her feet. Her skirt has woven stripes and she wears a long sheer head scarf. Their hang tags read “Product of the Handicraft cooperation.” He is dated 1974 on the bottom of his base. The labels on the bottom of their plastic boxes have additional info. A lovely pair of national costume dolls!

He won’t stay in his boots, and the jug has come unglued from his hands. They are otherwise in excellent condition. The boxes have some damage.
