This 13” (33 cm) baby is Effanbee’s Bubbles, made in the early 20th century. Bubbles has a composition head and limbs, and a cloth body. Most Bubbles dolls have sleep eyes, but this is the harder to find painted eye version. She is marked EFFANBEE BUBBLES on the back of her head, and wears her original brass heart shaped tag on a string around her neck. Bubbles wears an organdy christening dress and bonnet, a long slip, heavy cotton diaper and knit cotton socks. An early compo darling!

Bubbles has some cracking and flaking, especially around her nose and on her arms. It looks like her paint may have been touched up at some point. Her cryer does not work. Her outfit has some small stains.
