Excellent, untouched condition (no evidence of restoration under black light), miniscule pin hole at center. Very minor wear to frame.

Catalogue Note: The son of Antonio Cortes (1827-1908), a Spanish court and landscape painter during the mid-19th century, artist Edouard Leon Cortes (1882-1969) made his own mark in France, particularly Paris. An extremely popular and prolific artist, Cortes specialized in Parisian street and monument scenes, which he successfully marketed to tourists for over 60 years. The present example, completely fresh to the market, typifies the artist's exceptional abilities to capture atmosphere and light in the Impressionist style.
