Amazing collection of these weekly World War II propaganda broadsides, featuring color and black and white maps of the world and the theaters of conflict, showing the positions and possessions of the warring powers, along with photograph of soldiers, airplanes, tanks, generals, and more, plus text describing the action, tactics and strategy. The Newsmaps were issued by the Industrial Services, Bureau of Public Relations, War Department, and were "Prepared from Public Sources of Information" (no loose lips here!). One can imagine them hanging in factories, schools, and public building across the United States.
