A Wedgwood black basalt plaque, 'The Frightened Horse' modeled by Norman Bates, after the model by George Stubbs. Titled to verso "THE FRIGHTENED HORSE/BY GEORGE STUBBS. R. A." and stamped "WEDGWOOD/MADE IN ENGLAND/7 OF 20/NB/63;" sold together with a copy of Wedgwood ABC, But Not Middle E, by Harry M. Buten, deluxe edition no. 673, with inset jasperware medallion and with author's inscribed dedication to the Schaefers, dated 8-7-70. (2).
