A Chinese Chenghua red and white Porcelain cup, finely potted with rounded cavetto elevating steep sides leading to slightly flared rim, raised on footed ring base. The plain clean-white underglaze exterior contrast decorated with delicate carmine-red underglaze hand painting of sea grass and algae. Mark on base, a vertical six underglaze blue script -KaiShu- Characters, enclosed by double rectangular lines, Chenghua Reign Period of Great Ming.
