Superb, Chinese 20th C. Republic Period bamboo motif porcelain vase. The Finest thick porcelain potted in a large and tall Chinese porcelain, elephant leg shaped body, potted with a tall waisted neck, straight sides, wider toward the faceted shoulder, with flaring mouth rim. All reserved hand painted ornamentations are rendered in clean white underglaze base color which contrast against the famille verte design color. The exterior adorned with dense and sturdy of bamboo tree among rocking mountain and fresh green foliage, enclosed with double fine dark green fine rings lines. Scrolling interlocking ruyi clouds and flowers blooms with ornament decorated on the upper mouth rim, enclosed with double fine dark green fine rings lines. Bamboo is viewed as a symbol of traditional Chinese values. It is an example of the harmony between nature and human beings. People think its deep root denotes resoluteness; its tall, straight stem represents honor; its hollow interior modesty and its clean and spartan exterior exemplify chastity.
