Chinese Qing Dynasty Gilt bronze seal. The bronze carved in square shape, raised with slight thick gilt bronze, with facing Vigorous Qilin seal, lined with raised embellishments. Sculpture of Qilin is centered on the seal block with evenly spaced gaps all the way around allowing for the users fingers to comfortably rest on the edges. Qilin are an important motif in Chinese mythology. The gilt bronze is bright and lustrous as the light is easily reflected from the well-polished surfaces. The plaques split in the middle section, and fitted perfectly upon each other.

Over all in EXCELLENT condition. With normal anomalies in nature, sign of stressed surface, minor scratch & dents. Surface traced wear and or declined to gilding. Normal, consider ages and wear.
