Support and medium are stable and in good condition. The canvas and stretchers are stable with no damage to surface or structure. Medium is without apparent loss, no evidence of separation or dryness; overall the surface is slightly soiled; there are a few small surface marks – a 3” scuff “Line” left of the center (pictured). There are three very small areas of canvas showing throught which do not exhibit loss of paint and are likely in keeping with the artist’s process of applying semi-transparent washes. Signature “Raza” lower right; on verso the canvas is marked “Raza/P.698’67/la nuit/15F" (not 75F) The canvas is framed in ¾” strip wooden painted mat black. Provenance: New Jersey Collection
