Hancocks & Co platinum diamond bowtie brooch,original box. Hancocks and Co is an old London jewelry firm dating back to the 19th century. This piece is probably circa 1915 but might be as late as 1945.This brooch has 80 round .02ct diamonds, and one .33ct round full cut G-H color old European cut diamond, for a total diamond weight of approximately 2 carats. 1.5" wide.6.5 grams and 4.2 dwts.

Good condition overall, there is some gold solder on the back in the corner, and evidence of glue, but no other indication of what was repaired.It's possible that one of the black onyx pieces of the bowtie was reglued, but the gold solder is a mystery to us.No repair is visible from the front.
