Description
A pair of Roman silver rings with inset ring stones, c. 1st - 3rd Century AD, the first with an orange chalcedony stone featuring a dolphin, the second with a domed carnelian ring stone with a small human head in intaglio. Entire rings measure 21.5 x 11 mm & 19 x 9 mm. Both rings missing bottom of shank but their bezels with stones well-preserved. Ex German private collection, acquired in the 1990's.
