Description
Late 19th century, Upcountry, South Carolina by the Johnson Family working in Laurens, SC. The piece having a good form with single handle at one side and cobalt ring at upper body. The glaze having scattered spots throughout giving it a unique look. Good overall condition, some pitting near the backside base. H14 1/4" This piece was recently discovered in an outbuilding in Grey Court, South Carolina. The family property dates back to the early 20th century and several buildings predate that.
